Mountainland Supply, a Mountain Contractors Supply Company, is a leading wholesale distributor in the Plumbing and Heating/Cooling industry. We service 12 different verticals some of which include waterworks, landscape irrigation, tools & safety, pump & drilling, agriculture, truck outfitting/fabrication, and more. Today we have over 40 branch locations across seven states with over 1000 employee-owners. We are a family that is committed to our customers, our communities, and our fellow employee-owners.
We recently celebrated our 76th year as a Company starting in 1947. In July 2018, Mountainland Supply became a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. Joining Mountainland Supply means you are a part of that ESOP and an employee-owner. Not only does it provide ownership and an ownership mindset in our day to day, but an ESOP is also a qualified retirement plan. Our ESOP is fully employer-funded, meaning as you enhance our efforts and contribute as an active employee-owner you not only have a job you enjoy, but an account growing with your ownership shares on the backend.

Our Company Timeline
Mountainland Supply, formally called Provo Plumbing Supply, began in 1947 in Provo, UT.
Waterworks and Commodities were added as additional verticals to the company. Adding Waterworks and Commodities created the opportunity to sell the infrastructure materials needed to distribute, handle, treat, and store water for portable drinking water, irrigation, and wastewater applications.
The Company opened Contractors Heating and Cooling Supply, in Orem. This added verticals of Residential and Commercial Heating and Hydronics. These verticals specialize in providing equipment and services to meet heating, cooling, and ventilation needs. Hydronics involve radiant heating in homes and snowmelt systems in driveways.
The company opened Contractors HVAC Supply in SLC and added the Landscape Irrigation vertical. Today our Landscape and Irrigation vertical include maintenance, pools, golf courses, and a wide array of outdoor needs.
Mountainland Supply Company became the new name of Provo Plumbing Supply.
The Agriculture Irrigation vertical joined the company, provides consulting for farmers and ranchers, designing and providing layout drawings, and supplying watering and storage solutions.
Mountainland Supply merged with Mountain States Supply, combining our company efforts and footprint across UT and WY. In addition, the Geotextile vertical was added, helping customers with fabrics, geogrids, erosion control, and storm water products to the heavy civil construction market.
Contractors Heating and Cooling Supply merged with Contractors HVAC with the surviving entity name being Contractors Heating and Cooling Supply A separate merger brought Contractors Heating and Cooling into Mountainland Supply. A Pump & Drilling vertical was also added, which provides comprehensive HDD drilling solutions, state-of-the-art telecommunication infrastructure, and top-grade fiber optic cables and supplies.
Mountain Contractors Supply Group, holding company for all divisions and verticals, became an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) owned by all eligible employees.
Both Tools & Safety and Truck Outfitters verticals joined the company. Tools and Safety provide a comprehensive range of high-quality personal protective equipment (PPE), from durable safety helmets and eye protection to robust gloves and state-of-the-art respiratory gear. Truck Outfitters offers Recreational Upfitting, Commercial Fabrication, and Powder Coating services.
Mountainland Supply expands into the state of Idaho.
Two new verticals and two new states were brought into the company through company acquisitions: Electric Motors, Power Equipment, and The Tap of Kansas. Electric Motors specializes in repairing and rewinding motors and various pumps. Power Equipment services and sells parts for most brands of lawnmowers, chainsaws, snowblowers, and trimmers. The Tap of Kansas specializes in plumbing supplies and expanded the current market to Kansas and Missouri.
Mountainland Supply acquired B&B Supply expanding into Arizona and Colorado. This opened our Drilling and Utilities vertical which specializes in a full spectrum distributor for Pump & Drilling Supplies. If there is a liquid or something near liquid, that is being moved from point “A” to point “B”, that puts it right in the wheelhouse of Mountainland Drilling & Utilities.
Mountainland Supply reached over $600M in revenue for the fiscal year 2023, and operated 41 physical locations, in 7 states.
Ogden Lawn & Garden joined Mountainland Supply, which added another Power Equipment location.
Mountainland Supply acquired HDD Parts Plus, opening a second location in Colorado. This location joins the Drilling vertical of Mountainland.
